At Global Poly Systems we have built a safety culture that says "People are Number One 24/7". Safety is not just talk; it is an active effort on the part of all our employees and management together using the various programs at Global Poly and at Flint Energy Services Ltd. "People" is a core value at Global and our safety target is a zero injury workforce. We are, and will continue to be, a leader in the implementation of safety programs and practices that maintain and improve the safety of our employees. We are committed to ensure each of our employees has the tools that allow him or her to look after themselves regardless of where they are working. Our comprehensive, pro-active Safety Management System is an integration of the successes, innovations, safety fundamentals and benchmarking practices and programs developed by our entire organization and backed by a committed corporate safety team.

Safety Management Programs at Global

• Regular safety workshops held to review Global’s safety statistics, behavior observations and gain valuable feedback
• Risk management programs review and identify at risk behaviors and reinforce safe practices
• Safety meetings are held regularly
• Internal meetings held by committees and employees always begin with a safety moment lead by our employees or senior staff members
• Comprehensive safety training programs are provided and include First Aid, CPR, and hazard alert training programs
• Behavior-based programs are where employees can report potential hazards and reinforce positive safe behaviors, both increasing our safety awareness and commitment to keeping employees safe.  This program looks at initial actions, body mechanics, procedures and standards, as well as tools and equipment.
• Fit for Work programs focuses on employees preparing themselves for their work environments or tasks ahead.
• Best practices training
• Fresh Start safety campaigns held annually.  The New Year is not only a time for resolutions but also management uses this symbolic time to renew their commitment to safe practices within the workplace. This campaign features a safety presentation lead by senior management to employees and allows employees and management to talk together about the importance of an on-going commitment to our employees’ safety.  

Safety Handbook

Each Global employee is provided with a copy of a 165-page, user-friendly safety handbook that is designed and written for easy reference by all. Reviewed and updated regularly, the handbook is made readily available and its importance is communicated and reinforced by all supervisors, managers and senior personnel. It is an assertive, innovative system which trains all Global Poly Systems and Flint Energy Services employees to the same high level, one that raises the safety standards bar throughout the industry. Global is committed to keeping our employees safe each day.
